Why is this podcast essential today?

Latin America and the Caribbean is not just a terrestrial power; it is, by definition, an oceanic power. On average, 50% of the region’s sovereign territory is ocean, a figure that soars to 91% in the Caribbean. However, while the region holds 40% of the world’s biodiversity, the current extractive model is proving unsustainable.

In this episode, we explore how the region can lead the transition from a purely extractive blue economy toward a Sustainable Blue Economy (SBE) with a triple impact: environmental, social, and territorial.
